Sift is a personal tool that labels Gmail on a server its owner runs. This policy describes what it does with data from your Google account.
With your permission, Sift uses these Google API scopes:
gmail.readonly and gmail.compose, to read new messages through Google’s
Gmail MCP server.gmail.modify, to apply labels to messages and to receive notifications
when your inbox changes.pubsub, to receive those notifications from a Google Cloud Pub/Sub
subscription in your own Google Cloud project.Sift reads the senders, subjects, and contents of new messages in order to choose a label for each one. It does not send, delete, or forward mail.
Sift does not send your data to the developer or to anyone else. It does not use analytics, tracking, or advertising, and it does not sell or share your data.
To stop Sift, stop its service on your server and remove its access to your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To remove its files, delete them from your server and from your GitHub repository.
Questions about this policy can go to the developer on GitHub at github.com/dcwalker.
